As we all know, physical activity is especially important because it helps to reduce our risk of many health conditions and diseases. However, many of us tend to spend more time indoors in the winter and less time being physically active. It is recommended that adults get at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day. 60 minutes may seem like a lot, but that doesn’t mean it has to be done all at once! Try splitting up that time into smaller chunks. For example, do 10 minutes of physical activity 6 times per day. This could include parking farther away and walking to your destination, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking around while making phone calls. Small changes can add up to a lot!
