Earth Day Youth Mini-grants
April Showers Bring…Littered Cigarette Butts?
The snow has melted and the spring weather invites all of us to enjoy the outdoors. Unfortunately, the view is littered with discarded cigarette butts. Tobacco is harmful to both our health and our environment. That’s why this Earth Day, April 22nd, we’re so excited to announce a new opportunity to create healthier neighborhoods across the city of La Crosse.
We are awarding five $100 mini-grants to youth serving organizations and schools to conduct cigarette butt litter cleanups at parks and recreational areas within the city of La Crosse.
Earth Day Mini-grant Application
The student groups do not have to be based within the city but the space where the cleanup occurs must be in the city.
The last date for sending in applications is April 15, 2016 so hurry and send those applications in. The process is easy.
