Come join the Nature Connections program on a guided hike through the La Crosse River Conservancy on the evening of Wednesday, May 03. The hike will be led by UW-Extension Forester, Randy Mell, along with La Crosse County’s Health Educator, Megan Muehlenbruch. This will be the first of five guided area hikes this summer.
Quick Nature Connection Fact: Spending time amongst nature has been demonstrated to improve attention and positive mood, as well as reduce stress levels.
Whether you are familiar with the La Crosse River Conservancy and want to experience it at a deeper level, or have never been and want to discover a new great trail in the area, come join us for an hour while giving your health a boost! Everyone is invited, so bring your family, friends and co-workers along. Full details are as follows:
- When: Wednesday May 03, 2017 at 6PM
- Where: La Crosse River Conservancy, trail head on S Kinney Coulee Rd, Onalaska (located next to the Stoney Creek Inn). The parking lot across from the trail head is accessible from School District Rd.
- Additional Information: The trail is flat and grassy with the exception of the small decline/incline when accessing the valley. All ages are welcome. No pets are allowed in the Conservancy. The walk will be cancelled in the event of rain. Updates will be posted to our Facebook page and website.
The next guided hike will be on Tuesday, June 06 in Lower Hixon Forest.
